Start of housemanship 2018

Since many of us who just finished med school or those in final year.. Im pretty sure we will be eager to start earning after exhausting 5 to7 years of medical school students life.

But in everything there is sweet and also sour.. As for me.. Ive got Obstetrics and gynaecology as my first posting.

Being as a tagger (working hours will be 7am to 10pm) and as the blurry first poster, almost everyday I missed being outside just wandering around and also everyday I will regret studying medicine.. The amount of info n input u have to catch up is tremendous.

We have few sections.. Pac, wards, clinics, labour room and also ot. It was damn tiring to work non stop 6 days in a week..

In the first few days of tagging, u will be allowed to go back only after 10. That means damn freaking 15 Hours!! 7 to 10pm.. Psst.. U will be used to it.. Then will be afraid to offtag as once u offtag.. U need to do oncall alone.. Repeat.. Alone 😅

As for me.. It took a week to tag.. Then i offtaged.. From cool breezy oncall to J-ish oncall passed by..Day by day you will be comfortable with it and the tasks will become easier esp when ur quite close with ur Mo's or luckier Specialist 😉

4 months ended, now O&G was a past as a houseman.. Im stuck in peads now, feeling of being worthless and stupid all over again🙄
